Marty Berman Joins Marino as Senior Content Strategist
Former digital and social producer from Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Discovery Communications brings photo and video expertise to the firm
NEW YORK, NY – May 21, 2018 – Marino, a New York City-based strategic communications firm – today announced that Marty Berman has joined the agency as a senior content strategist.
Berman joins Marino with a diverse array of professional experience, including a strong background in digital content creation. Most recently, he served as a digital and social producer at Discovery Communications, where he created social-first content for Animal Planet and helped grow the network’s social media audiences, with hundreds of thousands of new followers.

Berman previously served as senior producer for SpaceX – the company founded by Elon Musk in 2002 – which designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. At the company’s California office, Berman oversaw photo and video coverage of all company events, launches, testing milestones and product unveils. In this role, he filmed 30 launches and major events for the company, such as the unveiling of the “Crew Dragon Spacecraft” and the first-ever successful landing of a rocket booster from orbit. Berman’s work helped to grow SpaceX’s social engagement, increasing the company’s YouTube subscriber base, by 900 percent.
A Michigan native, Berman received his bachelor’s in journalism from Michigan State University. He currently resides in Manhattan.
