Marino Grows Sharing Economy Business With Addition of Knotel and Stay Alfred

NEW YORK – June 3, 2019 – Marino, a strategic communications firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, announced it has added Knotel and Stay Alfred to its growing portfolio of real estate accounts.

The agency has been retained by Knotel, the fastest-growing flexible office provider in the world, servicing companies of all sizes from budding start-ups to top-tier enterprise clients, as well as Stay Alfred, the first upscale travel apartment in the world's best downtown neighborhoods, to develop and execute a robust communications strategy to elevate their public profile and help build and establish the brands among key target audiences.

“We are excited to partner with Knotel and Stay Alfred and help elevate the profile of the companies nationwide and beyond,” said John F. Marino, the president of Marino. “Both Knotel and Stay Alfred are true disruptors in their respective industries and our job is simple—to make them the go-to choices for tenants seeking office space, in the case of Knotel, and travelers, in the case of Stay Alfred.”

Founded in 2016, Knotel has more than 2 million square feet across more than 200 locations in New York, San Francisco, London, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Berlin and Brazil. The New York-headquartered company provides the complete office solution, bringing tenants tailored space on flexible terms without all the fuss typically involved in long-term office leasing.

Established in 2011, Spokane, Washington-based Stay Alfred pioneered the concept of the travel apartment by providing travelers with the space and comforts of a vacation rental combined with hotel-quality services. The company has grown to over 2,000 units across 1.5 million square feet in 33 walkable cities, and has hosted more than 700,000 guests. Co-founded and built by a former army ranger, Jordan Allen bootstrapped the company to $25 million before raising outside capital.

Since 1993, Marino has successfully represented a wide array of clients such as McDonald’s, Walmart, The Home Depot, Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation, Crain’s New York Business and the iconic One World Trade Center as well as many of the most widely respected real estate companies, trade associations and not-for-profits.

Marino was named one of the nation’s most powerful Real Estate PR firms by the Observer in 2018.
